Diary of a Renovation

Here’s a “before” photo of a typical single family house in San Francisco. It was built in 1950 and when the 280 freeway was being constructed the entire house was moved out of the path of the new freeway and set down in the middle of three lots in Bernal Heights.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

All the exterior stucco was removed and new double insulated windows were installed.
